Again crowds gathered around him and, as was his custom, he again taught them.
The Pharisees approached him and asked, “Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?”
They were testing him.
He said to them in reply, “What did Moses command you?”
They replied, “Moses permitted a husband to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her.”
But Jesus told them, “Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”
In the house the disciples again questioned Jesus about this.
He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her;
and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
"하느님께서 맺어 주신 것을 사람이 갈라놓아서는 안 된다.” (마르 10,9)
주님, 저는 당신 자애에 의지하며, 제 마음 당신 구원으로 기뻐 뛰리이다. 은혜를 베푸신 주님께 노래하리이다. (시편 13,6 참조)
우리의 허물들을 멀리 치우시네. (시편 103,12)
주님, 당신 말씀은 진리이시니 저희를 진리로 거룩하게 해 주소서. (요한 17,17 참조)
전능하신 하느님, 저희가 언제나 하느님의 뜻을 새기고 말과 행동으로 실천하게 하소서.
