Mt 12:38-42
Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, "Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you."He said to them in reply, "An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here. At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and there is something greater than Solomon here."
“악하고 절개 없는 세대가 표징을 요구하는구나! 그러나 요나 예언자의 표징밖에는 어떠한 표징도 받지 못할 것이다." (마태 12,39)

주님, 주님의 종들에게 자비를 베푸시고 주님의 은총을 인자로이 더해 주시어 믿음과 희망과 사랑으로 언제나 깨어 주님의 계명을 충실히 지키게 하소서.
주님, 이 거룩한 신비의 은총으로 저희를 가득 채워 주셨으니 자비로이 도와주시어 저희가 옛 삶을 버리고 새 삶을 살아가게 하소서.
