연중 제16주간 월요일 오전 10시 미사 서초동성당 이성진 미카엘 주임 신부님 집전

Matthew 12:38-42
Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”
He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth
three days and three nights. At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here. At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and there is something greater than Solomon here.”

그들이 요나의 설교를 듣고 회개하였기 때문이다. (마태 12,41)
회개는 하느님을 다시 바라보는 것입니다. 하느님은 이것으로 만족하십니다. 하느님 그분 때문이 아니라 우리를 위해서 그렇게 하라고 하시는 것입니다. 우리의 진정한 행복을 위해서 입니다. 하느님의 크신 자비가 느껴집니다.

사람아, 무엇이 착한 일이고 주님께서 너에게 요구하시는 것이 무엇인지 그분께서 너에게 이미 말씀하셨다. 공정을 실천하고 신의를 사랑하며 겸손하게 네 하느님과 함께 걷는 것이 아니냐? (미카 6,8)

주님, 주님의 종들에게 자비를 베푸시고 주님의 은총을 인자로이 더해 주시어 믿음과 희망과 사랑으로 언제나 깨어 주님의 계명을 충실히 지키게 하소서.

요나의 기적은 죽음 너머의 생명, 곧 부활을 미리 보여 주는 사건입니다. 이 표징을 삶으로 받아들이려면 그저 기적을 구경하는 ‘관객’의 자리에서 벗어나 참된 회개의 ‘주인공’이 되어야 합니다. 그 구원 드라마의 서막을 알리는 이들이 바로 우리가 되었으면 좋겠습니다.
