바람만이 알고 있지

Matthew 14:22-33

After he had fed the people, Jesus made the disciples get into a boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 

After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. 

When it was evening he was there alone. 

Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. 

During the fourth watch of the night, he came toward them walking on the sea. 

When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. 

“It is a ghost,” they said, and they cried out in fear. 

At once Jesus spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” 

Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 

He said, “Come.” 

Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. 

But when he saw how strong the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught Peter, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 

After they got into the boat, the wind died down. 

Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying, “Truly, you are the Son of God.”

“스승님은 참으로 하느님의 아드님이십니다.” (마태 14,33)

생각해 보고 생각해 봐도 하느님께서는 존재하십니다.

이렇게 사랑과 자비를 베풀어 주시는데, 제 믿음은 그에 따라가지 못해 죄송합니다.

주님을 찬미하여라. 주님은 기름진 밀로 너를 배불리신다. (시편 147(146─147),12.14 참조)

하느님, 베풀어 주시는 사랑과 자비에 감사드립니다.

주님, 저희가 받아 모신 이 성체로 저희를 구원하시고 진리의 빛으로 저희를 굳세게 하소서.

사람이 되어 우리에게 오신 예수님을 떠올리게 합니다. 예수님께서는 많은 사람이 바라보는 가운데 화려하게 나타나시지 않고 조용히 오셨습니다. 지금도 조용하고 부드러운 말씀으로, 성체 성혈로 우리와 함께 계십니다.

우리는 우리 어려움을 해결해 주시는 강하고 힘이 센 주님을 찾고는 합니다. 그러나 우리 삶에서 그런 체험을 할 기회는 흔하지 않습니다. 성경은 천둥 번개 치듯 나타나시는 하느님이 아니라 ‘소리 없이’ 나타나시는 하느님과 ‘조용하고 부드러운 사랑’이 무엇보다 큰 힘이신 외아드님 예수 그리스도를 우리에게 알려 줍니다. ‘소리 없이’ 그러나 우리를 통하여 활동하시는 ‘조용하시고 부드러우신’ 하느님을 묵상하는 뜻깊은 한 주간이 되었으면 좋겠습니다.
